Moose’s Long Road to Recovery

Moose has had a rough stretch, but he continues to show us exactly why medical rescue matters.

After arriving with a pelvis injury and a significant leg wound, Moose needed time, veterinary care, and strict rest. His recovery has not been instant, but he has continued to improve day by day.

Recently, Moose had a large laceration closed and began the next stage of healing. He is also recovering from neuter surgery, which he may or may not consider a personal betrayal.

Through it all, Moose has remained loyal, affectionate, and deeply connected to his people. He wants to be near his foster family, supervise everything, and remind everyone that he is still very much the center of attention.

Medical cases like Moose take time and resources. They also take foster homes willing to commit to rest, recovery, medication schedules, follow-up appointments, and all the emotional support that comes with healing.

Moose still has a road ahead, but he is moving in the right direction. We cannot wait to see the family member he becomes when he is fully healed.
