Make a Difference

Volunteer With IARN.

Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue.

Idaho Animal Rescue Network is powered entirely by volunteers. Rescue happens everywhere, from transporting animals and helping during large-scale cases to packing pet food, assisting at adoption events, organizing donations, taking photos, fundraising, and handling the countless behind-the-scenes jobs that keep rescue moving.

You do not have to be an animal expert or have endless free time. Whether you can give a few hours occasionally or want to become part of our regular crew, there are plenty of ways to put your time, talents, and willingness to work to good use.

Ways to Help.

There is no single way to volunteer with IARN. Some roles are hands-on with animals, some keep cases moving in the field, and others happen entirely behind the scenes.

Volunteer transporting animals and supplies

Transport & Appointments

Help animals get to veterinary appointments, foster homes, adoption events, partner rescues, and other destinations.

Volunteers staffing a community outreach table

Events & Community Outreach

Assist at adoption events, community events, fundraisers, educational tables, setup, cleanup, and public outreach.

Volunteer assisting an owl during animal rescue work

Animal & Case Support

Help with animal handling, large-case logistics, supplies, documentation, field support, cleanup, and other case-specific needs.

Volunteers unloading donated pet food and supplies

Pet Pantry, Supplies & Organization

Sort donations, package pet food, stock pantries, organize storage, assemble crates, clean equipment, and keep supplies ready to go.

Volunteers cleaning and organizing during a rescue event

Behind-the-Scenes Support

Photography, social media, writing, spreadsheets, phones, data entry, auction baskets, emergency kits, and other admin projects all matter.

Volunteer spending enrichment time with dogs

Doggie Dates & Enrichment

Take an approved dog on a walk or outing. One-on-one time provides enrichment, social exposure, and a welcome change of scenery.

YOUNG VOLUNTEERS
