A lifetime of love.A legacy of rescue.
The love you have for animals can keep changing lives for years to come.
By including Idaho Animal Rescue Network in your legacy plans, you help make sure animals facing cruelty, neglect, or serious medical needs have someone ready to show up.

Your kindness can shape their future.
IARN is an all-volunteer, foster-based nonprofit. Legacy gifts can sustain rescue response, veterinary treatment, safe foster care, and community programs that help animals and the people who love them.
A planned gift is a way to carry your values forward. Your attorney or financial advisor can help you choose an approach that fits your wishes and your family’s needs.
A plan that reflects what matters to you.
Include IARN in your estate plans.
Discuss a gift of a specific amount, a percentage, or part of the remaining estate with your attorney. They can prepare language that reflects your intentions.
Name IARN as a beneficiary.
Ask your advisor and account provider about naming IARN as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, or other eligible account.
Talk through your ideas.
Considering securities, property, or another kind of gift? Contact us before making arrangements so we can discuss acceptance and coordinate with your advisor.
This page provides general information. IARN does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. Please consult your own professional advisors when preparing or changing your plans.
Plan ahead for the pets who depend on you.
Your pets are family. The IARN Legacy Pet Program offers legacy giving participants a way to discuss and arrange future care if they pass away or become unable to care for their enrolled pets.
This program is available only to people who include IARN in their legacy giving plans. Pet participation requires advance review and written enrollment with IARN. Leaving a gift alone does not automatically enroll your pets or create an agreement for their care.
Tell us about your plans.
Contact Erin to discuss your legacy gift and interest in the pet program. Together, we can review your pets, their needs, and possible care arrangements.
Create a care profile.
Gather veterinary contacts, health and behavior information, daily routines, and emergency contacts. IARN will discuss eligibility and confirm any enrollment terms in writing.
Keep everyone informed.
Work with your attorney and designated contacts to coordinate the agreed plan. For enrolled pets, the goal is a supported transition to appropriate foster care and a suitable new home.
Care commitments, eligible animals, and activation procedures are determined in the written enrollment agreement. Please do not name IARN as your pet’s caregiver without prior written approval.

A few common questions.
Do I need to decide on a gift amount before contacting you?
No. You can start by asking questions and discussing your goals. Your professional advisors can help you decide what fits your circumstances.
Does a legacy gift automatically enroll my pets?
No. The Legacy Pet Program is exclusively for IARN legacy giving participants, and each pet must be reviewed and enrolled in advance through a written agreement. Contact Erin to begin.
Can I name IARN as my pet’s caregiver in my will?
Please contact Erin first. IARN must review and approve the arrangement in writing before being named as a caregiver. Your attorney can then help coordinate your documents with the approved plan.
What if I have already included IARN in my plans?
Thank you for helping carry this work forward. Email Erin so we can acknowledge your intentions, answer questions, and discuss pet program enrollment if you are interested.
